Hall High School like many high schools is known for its crowded hallways, especially around its intersections and stairwells. Luckily there are signs indicating which stairwells you should only go upstairs and ones you should only be going downstairs that prevent stops and traffic at the intersections for the most part. However, some individuals decide to disrupt the flow of traffic. Individuals who go up the downstairs and down the upstairs during transition time. They decide to do this which ends up deeply inconveniencing those going the RIGHT WAY. This not only is a minor annoyance, but it makes the stairway unsafe by having to shift to the side for them and creates more stops and foot traffic. Highschool senior Jordan Biatch says, “People who ignore basic social norms, like walking in the correct direction on staircases, contribute to the everyday frustrations and inefficiencies in school.” and I feel like many people during transition time can agree.
