Thanksgiving Meal???

The clock hit 12, and the calendar changed to November, and the one thing on everyone’s mind was Thanksgiving.  However, Thanksgiving can be a very controversial topic, from the questions about what the best food is, to the question is gravy “da bomb”?

Alex St. Jaques from the source Spoon University declared gravy as the best Thanksgiving food, and had this to say, “Gravy is technically a condiment, but it can go on so many foods”.

They are correct, it can go on everything.  This year I hopped on the gravy train for the first time and I put it on everything; mashed potatoes, turkey, and a drizzle a little on my ham.  I was just upset that I didn’t do it in years past.  However, with a name like Spoon University it is nearly impossible not to trust their judgment(that was sarcasm).  Brooks Mcconnel, the starting varsity quarterback for the Hall High School 2020 football team, had a different answer.  When asked what his favorite food was he stated “stuffing”.  I am not a fan of stuffing, but if the starting quarterback is a fan of it, then I think it is safe to declare stuffing as the best Thanksgiving food.

Now to the more important question, are mashed potatoes “da bomb”?  “Da bomb” is slang for good, or the best.  Stuffing has already been declared as the best by Brooks Mcconnel, but when asked if mashed potatoes are “da bomb” he stated, “My uncle makes very very good mashed potatoes, so I would say that his are ‘da bomb’; however, if I am eating mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving and they are not my uncles, I would not give them the status of ‘da bomb’”.

Ketchup.

So to conclude, if you are wondering if mashed potatoes are “da bomb”, Brooks would say maybe.  Mashed potatoes were ranked second, behind gravy, by Alex St. Jaques from the source Spoon University.  Being ranked second must mean that mashed potatoes are good, maybe even “da bomb”.

The star of the thanksgiving meal is definitely the turkey.  A Thanksgiving without a turkey is one that I do not want to be a part of, but is the turkey overrated?  Lola Smith, a senior at Hall High School was asked this tough question, and her response will shock you.

“Yes” is how she responded.

Brooks Mcconnel had a different answer, “I think that turkey is deserving of all its attention due to its size and importance, but in my opinion it’s the sides that make the meal”.  The star quarterback said it best, the turkey is the symbol of thanksgiving, and deserves all of the attention that it gets.
