James Parker Evans
James Parker Evans, “JP” to all his friends, is a senior at Hall High School. He was born in Hartford and when the time came for him to go to school, his parents moved two blocks into West Hartford so that he would be able to go to school in WH public schools. JP states that West Hartford public schools are “one of the best school districts that give you the most opportunities.” JP aspires to go into engineering, mathematics, and/or problem-solving. He has always liked the idea of working with his hands. His goal would be to work for NASA one day.

JP hopes to get better with his writing and interview skills in order to help him at his volunteer position at West Hartford Community Television. He has responsibilities that include running a camera, editing, producing, and directing. When JP is not volunteering, he is going on adventurous journeys through the desert with his fellow boy scouts. He also goes camping almost every month for a whole weekend and is a few weeks away from getting his eagle scout.
