Sophia Bolio is a senior at Hall High School. She was born in Boston and moved to CT when she was three years old. Sophia has a brother who is 15 years old.

Sophia’s hobbies include reading and playing a variety of instruments such as the guitar, cello, piano, and the ukulele. Her favorite book is A Separate Peace by John Knowles. She says it’s “super intriguing” and she “couldn’t put it down.”

Sophia is taking journalism because she doesn’t know much about the topic but is curious to learn more. When reading the news, she is drawn towards social and political issues because “that’s what affects us in our everyday lives.” Although writing is one of her strengths, she has never written for a newspaper before. After graduating high school, Sophia would like to go to a college focusing particularly on music.
