Shannon Kappes, Editor

Shannon Kappes, a senior at Hall, is a member of the swimming and lacrosse teams, and looks forward to writing about sports and mental health in Journalism.

Q: Do you participate in any clubs or sports?

A: I do swimming in the fall and lacrosse in the spring.

Q: What is your favorite memory from high school?

A: I have a lot of good memories from being on the swim team. We had team breakfasts every Saturday morning after practice and dinners before our meets.

Q: What do you take the most pride in?

A: Probably getting into college at this point. I feel like all the hard work from high school finally paid off.

Q : Why did you choose Journalism?

A: It’s different from other English classes where you just write standard essays. I like how it’s a more active class where we get to choose the topics we write about and interview people.

Q: What do you plan to write about in Journalism?

A: I hope to write about sports and mental health because I enjoy sports and I think it’s important to discuss mental health, especially in today’s day and age.
