What to do After a Test
You finish your biology test, and you are wondering what to do now. There is 30 minutes left of class, and your teacher won’t let you use your phone. What do you do? Seems like a nightmare, I know, but we’ll get through this together. Hopefully you read this before this happened, and not after, but that’s beside the point. You are going to need to follow a three step process if you want to stay sane following this experience.
Step One: DO NOT LOOK AT THE CLOCK! Looking at the clock is the worst thing you can do in this situation. Watching time go by makes it take longer. Instead of staring at the clock, waiting for the sweet sound of the bell, you should look at the wall and read the posts on the boards around the class.
Step Two: Reading random posters will only get you so far. It will last about five minutes, and that is nowhere close to what you need. We’ll assume that you have an impeccable attention span, and you were able to keep busy for ten minutes. Nice job. You now have twenty minutes to stall. Step two is to write on the desk. I’m required to say that I am not condoning vandalism, but I am saying that it is a great way to pass the time. Have a conversation with yourself on the desk. Write down some funny jokes that another person will enjoy next period.
Step Three: Finally , when you have about ten minutes left of class, you should sing some song lyrics to yourself in your head. IN YOUR HEAD is a big part of this.
Congratulations! You made it through your final class for the day! How does it feel? Liberating, I hope. All I can do is help you get through it in somewhat of an enjoyable manner. Now that you’re done, you may now get some rest, and I’ll see you tomorrow when we do this all over again in a seemingly endless cycle of school for the next seven years of your life.
