School lunch and a show

Contrary to popular belief, Hall is not uneventful.

The Student Association led by president, Dan Gittleman, and many other clubs and associations, works year round to hold fun events that brighten our school experience and enrich our Hall community. Veronica Tsvock, the student association’s secretary, spoke about her favorite SA sponsored events, dances. “My favorite events are the dances- we are trying to do a lot more this year because it brings together so many people and gives everyone a fun night together”. Veronica depicted a new event, “This year we are partnering with huskython and throwing a new dance February 11 in which all profits go to Connecticut children’s medical center.” This event is different than most dances because it not only gives us a memorable event to attend, it also helps benefit a children’s medical center in our community.

The Student Association is not the only group working to bring our Hall community closer together, clubs such as the Young Educator Society, or YES club, organize teacher jeopardy annually. This event which takes place right before winter break, and gives the students and teachers a pleasant performance to watch together. Claire Fagan is the Vice President of YES club, a senior at Hall and has helped organize teacher jeopardy for 2 years. “Teacher jeopardy was a good way for the student body to engage in a school promoted activity”. This promotes school spirit and breaks the barriers between teacher and student, by conveying the teachers lively side.

Hall has a variety of musical performances. Pops and Jazz and Madrigals are some of Hall’s best performance groups. Pops and Jazz put on yearly shows that are adored by the hundreds who attend. Mrs.Smith, formerly known as Ms.Dickman, even commented that, “I went to Pops and Jazz last year, it was great!”. Madrigals is a singing performance which stars Hall students. The performance is set in the renaissance. The old attire adds interest and flare.

The musical, Student association, and The YES club all contribute to the Hall community with meaningful performances and enjoyable events that bring us together.
