Town LifeSavers

Lifeguarding over summer is a job many teenagers take on over the summer and though it may seem like a regular job, There is so much more that happens during your experience as a lifeguard.

Welcome to Kennedy Public Pool, a well-staffed pool club that handles anywhere from 50 to 200 people daily. On some occasions, the pool can be jam-packed with people around the area and these are times that fly by. Not only does lifeguarding require attention to the collection, but it also requires pool deck assistance. You can see here an image of bees swarming the trash area on the pool deck on a crowded day… Luckily we were able to get rid of the bees and they caused no harm to any residents on this day.

We all have our responsibilities at the park whether that be helping a citizen out of the water, taking care of the camp swim lessons to make the campers better swimmers or any other simple task like taking out the trash as you see above on a busy day.
