School Lunches Are Here to Stay!
Students sharing food due to not being able to get school lunch.
During the pandemic, students around the state of Connecticut have been offered to get free lunches. In times of need when lunches weren’t free, students were dependent on others to share food with them as they could not afford a school lunch. It was easy to tell by the students’ facial expressions that they were visibly frustrated because they did not have their own meals. In 2023 when school lunches became free once again, students began to be happy that they could now have their own lunch, and they didn’t have to worry about being hungry.
