West Hartford dog owners aren’t being neighborly, leaving their dog’s mess behind throughout the community. It is left on sidewalks, yards, driveways, school grounds, and even the road. Instead of easily picking up after their dog, owners decide leaving the mess is acceptable. This causes tension in neighborhoods because of the disrespect and irresponsibility of dog owners. Thankfully there are still some dog owners who are cleaning up after their dogs, and even other messes left behind by other dogs. Picking up after your dog is not a difficult task; it only takes a few seconds. Sometimes you might forget to replenish your waste bags, but there are waste bag stations in yards that allow you to take a bag to clean up after your dog. Cleaning up after your dog is not only being a responsible pet owner, but also showing common courtesy to your community.
