Teenage girlhood: the hardest stage of growing up. Between the pressures of society, social standards, and the threats that haunt us, we can lose sight of who we are at heart. Along with these concepts, we have a sense of community, are ready for anything, and are fearless. Between doing hairstyles and sleeping with friends during a long bus ride, we unite as a team to support one another. Being a teenage girl is about having shoes for every occasion, bags packed and readily available, and having a sweatshirt waiting to be used. Organization is secondary, while practicality and ease come first. Teenage girlhood nowadays means needing to be prepared for anything, and always looking over your shoulder especially on a dark, eerily quiet night.
Teenage girlhood is complicated, it’s something special.
