At Hall High School, there is an immense amount of student drivers. A good portion of the Junior and Senior classes drive themselves to school using their own cars. However, there are only so many student parking spots. The result of this? A disproportionate amount of cars to spots, forcing students to park off-campus and in surrounding streets. This contributes to three issues in our system: Firstly, students are blamed for blocking traffic in surrounding streets like Maiden Lane and parking in the nearby Eisenhower parking lot, and drop-off is a nightmare due to the sheer number of students crossing the street. Secondly, more students than ever are arriving at their first period late due to having to walk more than five minutes from where they parked to their class. Finally, closed-campus restrictions make it so that students are not allowed to return to their car for any reason throughout the school day.
