In a press conference on Wednesday, October 4, three days after a win, NFL quarterback for the Carolina Panthers, Cam Newton, was asked by reporter Jourdan Rodrigue about one of his receivers  and their improved physical route running execution. Newton replied, “it’s funny to hear a female talk about routes.”  Despite apologizing the next day, the backlash caused Newton to lose a Dannon sponsorship.
