Hall is Kicking It

Hall varsity soccer is having a great season and not only do “coaches,” “players,” and “supporters,” say this, but also the statistics scream this out loud. Hall is looking back at a great season, and as it is coming to an end they are looking forward to a promising state championship starting the 6th of November. It is time to fight and it is time to believe, so let’s give Hall Soccer not only the support they need but also the support they deserve.

Hall Varsity Boys Soccer:

Hall varsity boys has had a magnificent season, they have closed up the season with a record of 10 wins, 2 losses and 4 ties. This year’s team does not only hope but it also believes that they can renew the state championship that hasn’t been brought to Hall High School since 1980.

Hall finished 2nd in the CCC West Colonial Conference and is ranked as the 8th best team in the whole state of Connecticut of Class LL.

“I think we are a really strong team and I really believe that we have the pieces to take the championship this year, all I need is my upperclassmen to step up and everybody else will follow along, and I really think there is something here,” Coach Zeke Seguro said after the annual Hall vs Conard soccer match at Conard, which ended up in a tie with a score of 2-2.

“We have individuals that can create opportunities, score goals and make a difference in the field, but we play well as a team to supplement the individual talent,” said captain of the team Max Drazen when I asked him what he thougtht of his team.

“Great potential. Threatening when we attack. We give up stupid goals. I think that if we can turn around the dumb mistakes we have a chance of challenging for the state title,” answered captain Thomas Knox III when I asked him why he thought that this years team has a chance of taking the state championship with them.

Let’s give Hall varsity boys the support they need out there in the field and hope that they will be the ones to renew the title that hasn’t been won in so long.

Hall Varsity Girls Soccer:

Hall varsity girls haven’t had a great season, they started off to a rough start and they’re record is not the greatest with 6 wins, 7 losses and 3 ties, but what we can say is, that is a very united team and without a doubt a hard working/fighting group of players.

Even though they stand 3 out of 4 in the CCC West Conference and 16th in the whole state, Hall is got a shot of winning this championship as Coach Ferguson and some of the players confirm.

“We are a team that if you look at are record we are not the greatest, we lose by one goal and we tie a lot but I think that we are a really strong team and if we can just work on changing that, things are going to go uphill,” said Coach Ferguson in the live interview after the annual Hall vs Conard soccer match at Conard, which it ended up in a 1-0 giving the win to the Hall varsity girls team.

“I think we have a chance of winning states because even though our record isn’t great we have been in every game fighting until the end. We have also beaten or tied some of the really good

teams in our division so I think it gives us a good shot,” said Madison Mandyck when I asked her what where here hopes on winning the state championship.

“We have a big chance because we can play with anyone who gives us a challenge, and if we all make the effort for every game eventually we will find ourselves in the state’s final game, playing our hardest for the title,” was Giovannas Dionicio’s answer to the same question that I made to Madison minutes before.

Lets all do the same thing that I asked for with the Boys Varsity Team and lets give this team our support and cheers in the state championship and finally hope that they can bring the title home.
