Jorge Ponton Benitez is a 17 year old senior at Hall High School. Moving to West Hartford from Puerto Rico in September of 2017 due to Hurricane Maria, he came to West Hartford with his grandmother and now lives with his aunt. Even though Jorge has left Puerto Rico, he still keeps in touch with his friends that he spent his whole life with.

Ever since he was younger, Jorge has always wanted to be an actor. “I want to make it to the big screen” he said. This is his main goal in life. When he was in Puerto Rico, one of his teachers, Mr. Livan, was an international actor. From there on out, Jorge’s dream was to become an actor.

Jorge thinks journalism will help him with his writing skills and will also help me get more involved in current events.
