My current generation is viewed as one that spends all our time using modern technology such as phones, laptops, and more. Adults think that kids are always on social media without getting off the couch, which is not true; in fact, many Gen Zers would say that using the internet helps inspire us to get up and go out. I took these pictures in Lisbon, Sintra, and Cancun and I am not sure if I would have grown the desire to go out and visit these places if I did not have the technology to learn about them. It is not false to say that electronic devices are frequently used but they play a huge role in what makes Generation Z, also called the iGen.

    Many would think that kids cannot take their eyes off of cell phones, but it is a major resource that has led to us being one of the better-travelled generations. It’s true that Gen Z has never seen the world without technology, but, also, we would need technology if we truly want to see the world and remember it. People discover different places around the globe and that makes them want to travel because of the devices. After hearing and seeing so many pictures and videos about places like Lisbon, Sintra, and Cancun, I was inspired to go out and see the world with my family. My pictures feature all three of these destinations.

    Without technology, I could not have been able to capture these moments that could be looked back at for years later. Technology has permitted me, as well as multiple others around the globe, to go out on adventures to unfamiliar, fascinating areas. Travelling is one of the many benefits that the new generation has been fortunate enough to accomplish and would not be at all what it is without the our modern technology.
