A Celebration of Culture

These pictures portray a day this past weekend that I traveled to Boston, Massachusetts, to view a parade in Chinatown. In these pictures, Chinese culture is celebrated. They represent a joyful observation and clearly honor the traditions of the Chinese customs. In the first photo, the bright yellow and red of the dragons represent the flag of China. In the second photo, the spicy dish represents food from their heritage. The dragon parade was lively and bright, showing the immense power of people coming together to commend each other. These overall images show the importance of cherishing each individual and what truly matters to them. This parade brought people together of all genders, races, ethnicities, and much more. This occasion was a celebration of life and I am glad I was able to witness the event.

I believe it is crucial for educators to emphasize the meaning and celebration of different countries around the world. With modern-day education, more and more students are learning languages that can help them communicate with others, and traveling to Chinatown is a great way for students to use their speaking abilities. My artistry is shown throughout these pictures with the natural curves of the arch, the photos filling the frame, and the overall composition. When it came to capturing these photos, exhibiting artistry was important in order to fully seize the celebration of culture.
