Serial Wood
With all of my photos I wanted to capture a very still moment where there isn’t too much going on in the photo. Each photo is supposed to evoke a relaxing emotion through the serenity of the images and objects inside. I wanted each photo to relate to the last to create a series of photos with an intention of having an order to them. The first photo is of a trail through the woods near the Farmington River. The photo is still with a variety of bright greens contrasted against dark trees trunks. The second picture is of matches (made by trees) that lie on a coaster. In this image the matches have already been lit and extinguished. In the last picture a candle sits on a chess board. The matches in the second picture light the candle in the third picture. Furthermore, the chess board in the third picture continues the wood theme that is shown throughout all the photos.
