Society Is Wired To Smartphones.
In society, it is rare to see someone without a smartphone. It’s now the norm to see teenagers wired to their phones.
Picture one, shows how even with friends, young adults don’t just simply enjoy each other’s’ presence. Teenagers would rather sit down on their phones, adding to their stories or feeds. There is now the norm of showing the online society all the updates going on with our lives, who we hang out with, what we eat, and where we are. The only constraint is showing only the positives.
This leads to photograph two, showcasing the issue of texting and driving. Although everyone knows they shouldn’t be doing it, teenagers and even adults are guilty. Kids look up to adults, so, subconsciously, they must think that if adults do it, it’s an acceptable act for them. By just looking down for one second at a screen it can cause a fatal accident, and people need to realize it simply unacceptable, just because they want to respond to a text or be ‘updated’ on the new Instagram post.
Photo three depicts someone late at night passed out with their phone in hand. It is a habit to fall asleep with your phone and wake up to notifications waiting to be answered. It continues to become more common. Because of this anytime access , people end their nights on social media and start their mornings the same way. Another problem is going to sleep with your phones right next to you, there’s never any time away.
