Throughout the past year, Covid-19 has affected almost every part of life. We have had to completely alter the way we used to go about our days, and Hall High School’s Theatre department is no stranger to the obstacles Covid has created. This year’s Shakespeare show will be Romeo and Juliet-but with a twist. Along with the classic tragedy of two star-crossed lovers, this show will highlight the difficulties of falling in love as a teenager in the pandemic. In past years, the annual Shakespeare shows have drawn in large crowds at each performance in the Black Box, but due to Covid-19, things will be a little different. This year’s production of Romeo and Juliet will be a combination of pre-recorded scenes and live-streams that can be enjoyed from the comfort of one’s own home. Even with these new barriers, the actors, directors, and stage managers have put together an amazing show that you definitely do not want to miss!
