Q: Why did you decide to take journalism?
A: I decided to take journalism because I have never really learned about or done this type of writing before. In the past I have always learned more about fiction or story writing, but in this class I get to pick my own real topic, so I thought that was pretty interesting and wanted to learn more about it.
Q: What sources of media do you mainly get your information from?
A: I mainly get my information from social media or sometimes I watch the news, but primarily TikTok or Instagram. It is easily accessible for me and I can use my phone to find it, so it is easily navigable for me.
Q: Who inspires you?
A: I would say my parents inspire me because they are both very hardworking and I model myself after them and their values. Their work ethic and the way they treat others are an inspiration for me in everything I participate in, including sports, work and school.
Q: If you could give advice to yourself as a freshman, what would you say?
A: I would say to get all your work done before it builds up and make the most out of your time here, because it goes by quickly.
