Jack McCann is a student-athlete, musician, and journalist at Hall High School. He shares why he thinks journalism is essential in today’s world and gives some insight on why he is interested in being a journalist.

Q: What are your plans for after high school?

A: I’m thinking of majoring in something business-related. 

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A: I have no idea, I think that’s an acceptable answer.

Q: Why do you think Journalism is important, especially during this time?

A: I think it’s important to be able to share a viewpoint without it being restricted, and having different viewpoints so you can compare them and basically form one for yourself. So, I think it’s important that people are able to have a platform without it being restricted.

Q: What do you hope to accomplish in Journalism?

A: Just, pretty much to get better at writing.
