Joe Dooley, Editor

Joe Dooley, inspired by his father’s work, is attempting to follow tradition by joining the team here at Hall Record. Mr. Dooley found the class of Journalism to be much more engaging than regular literature classes, and has a passion for learning more in the course and the media around him!

Q: Who are you?

A: I’m a senior here at Hall High School. I play baseball and basketball here at Hall. I like to hang out with my friends and just have fun.

Q: Who was your biggest influence to take on journalism?

A: My dad was definitely my biggest influence to take journalism because he works for the Hartford Yard Goats. He’s a broadcaster for them, but he also does a lot of writing. He’s also their PR guy, which means he does a lot of press releases. He writes a lot, and sends it to the newspaper and news companies. I see him doing that a lot and I want to learn how to do the stuff that he does.

Q: Would you consider journalism to be a future career or not? Is there another job you’d like? If yes, why so?

A: Yes, journalism would definitely be one that I’d consider because I just love the thought of going out, finding people and making articles. It’s not boring at all, there’s a lot of fun things that you can do with it.
