Senior Kiley Murphy expresses her passion for journalism and clarifies why she chose to pursue it
Q: What topics are you planning on writing
about this semester?
A: I’m planning on writing how this class
[journalism] and teacher are treated at
this school and how the class is not
equally treated. I’m also gonna be writing
about mental health, and I think that’s it.
Q: what made you take this class or want to take this class?
A: I really like writing about, not stories, but things that are
happening right now.
Q: What is something that you are looking forward to in this class?
A: Getting to write what a want and being able to express what
I believe in… and having my voice heard.
Q: If you became a professional journalist, which city would you want
to live/work in and why.
A: Probably new York. I’m not sure why but it feels like a more
populated area and a lot of people will get to see and know your
writing.
Q: What do you hope to get out of taking this course?
A: better writing skills and better self expression.
