Q: Why are you taking Contemporary Journalism?
A: I took a first semester writing elective so that I could take Creative Writing second semester, with one of my favorite teachers, Mr. Bergvik. I chose Contemporary Journalism as my first semester elective because my mom was a journalist and TV producer, and I’m very glad I made that decision. In the few weeks since the class began, my eyes have been opened to the vastness, importance, and danger of the media world.
Q: What do you plan to write about?
A: I want to help people get to know Hall’s student body better, focusing on lighthearted and fun topics like sports.
Q: What do you hope to add on HallRecord.org?
A: I want to add content that people can read and feel like they’ve gained information from it afterwards. I also want to write articles that are interesting, make people feel good, and help readers to get to know the school better.
Q: What was the most important life lesson you’ve learned?
A: Try everything with an open mind to get the best out of every experience. Resisting new things will only make you feel worse and learn less from them.
