Schyler Holt is inspired to become a journalist- even if it’s just for a semester.

Q: Are you interested in pursuing a career in journalism?

A: “Not necessarily, but I think it’s still important to learn about how to stay updated on news and what their thought process is when recording news.”

Q: Do you enjoy writing outside of school?

A: “I do enjoy writing, and I think it’s fun if I can just freewrite and not be forced to write about something specific.”

Q: Who is your biggest inspiration and why?

A: “Probably my mom, because she’s very hardworking, and she’s a single mom, and she does everything on her own and i just strive to be as hardworking and caring as she is.”

Q: How has your background influenced who you are today?

A: “I think it’s made me more aware of a lot more perspectives in the world, and it’s made me more hardworking and understanding of other people and always how you shouldn’t judge people for who they are because you don’t know what they’re going through.”
