Jess Mason, Editor
Jess Mason is a 17-year-old senior student-athlete at Hall High School. The captain of both soccer and track girls teams treasures the time on the field. At the age of three, she moved to Connecticut with her family due to a natural disaster in New Orleans, Louisiana; where she was born. “Hurricane Katrina hit and we had to evacuate,” Jess said. Described as chill, loyal, and laid back, she genuinely enjoys the outdoors. She states, “some of my favorite memories come from being in nature with friends”. For example, a memorable event over the summer experienced was going on a hike with her friends and watching the sunset over the mountains.
One of Jess’s role models is Kevin Parker because regardless of the public’s opinion, he lives his life on his terms and what makes him happy. Her dream job is to be a photojournalist for National Geographic. With the interest in climate change and environmental issues, she hopes to “learn about different people’s perspectives and stories.”
