New Mask Policy at Hall High School

As Spring approaches, we begin to return to what our world was like over two years ago, when the pandemic first began. Recently the town of West Hartford made the decision to go mask optional in their schools. This decision came after the Board of Education thoroughly discussed the topic, looking over CDC guidelines and recent Covid statistics.

For some this decision brought joy and relief, for others it brought stress and worry, and others have felt stuck in between. The image in this gallery of three Hall students sitting at a lunch table depicts well the decision students are being forced to make. One student continues to wear a mask, another doesn’t, and the third wears one but not the proper way.

The other images show how students have begun to forget their time wearing masks and started to focus on the future. Overall, the lifting of the mask mandate in West Hartford Public Schools has left students with the dilemma of whether to wear or not to wear a mask.
