The Hamilton Collection

If you had a $20 Million dollar car collection, what would you do with it? Would you use them to raise money for charity, or just use it for yourself? Would you bring them to car shows to let other people enjoy them with you? Would you even drive them, or just have them collect dust as trophies? Would you share your cars as much as Steve Hamilton does with his car collection?

In order to answer that last question you’re gonna need a little background on Hamilton and his collection of crazy cars. When Steve was young he lived off of welfare, then in 2003 he started his own aftermarket car parts company. 15 years later he bought his first supercar, now he has close to 30 of them. His favorite of which is his Bugatti Chiron. As Hamilton said in an interview with Business Insider, “My personal favorite vehicle of the entire fleet is the Bugatti Chiron. It is all-wheel drive, so I can drive it all year long easily.” This may not mean much to the average person, but car enthusiasts all over the world would be flabbergasted if they saw a Chiron driving in the winter. This shows a lot about Hamilton and how he uses his cars for what they were made for, driving.

What makes Hamilton standout from all the other gearheads on the internet is how much he gives back to the community.  Hamilton wrote on his website about what he wants to do with his cars. “My mission for the collection now is simple: I am driven to give back. I put the cars to use by taking them out to charity events to help spread awareness or raise money for important causes. As the collection grows, I am committed to continuing to let car enthusiasts of all ages enjoy the vehicles and remain focused on using the collection to make the world a better place.” Also as Hamilton has stated on several occasions in his videos, and interviews, all of the money made from his social media is donated to charity.

While not as notable as his charity actions, it is also notable to car enthusiasts that Hamilton drives his cars. He doesn’t let them sit around collecting dust, he has them maintained regularly and he and his team put a fair amount of miles onto all of the cars, some more than others though. Another thing Hamilton says regularly, when describing his mission with his cars, “These cars aren’t trophies to me. They are vehicles, and they are meant to be driven. So we’re also going to have plenty of fun along the way!”
