The Convention That Sells Corals

After 2 years of waiting, a club from West Hartford Connecticut’s Hall High School attended a special event intended to slowly change the world. The Hall Coral Project relished the opportunity to go to another Frag Farmers Market (FFM), a typically annual event where they could sell and buy corals. Manning a booth at FFM -which is considered legendary amongst coral hobbyists- the club sold out practically all the corals they had brought from their school’s 450-gallon tank system in which they grow their corals.

With 100 stalls, and over 1,000 attendees (with some coming in from as far as Pennsylvania and Delaware), the event at E.O. Smith High School in Storrs, Connecticut was a major comeback for the reefing community, which had been unable to hold the annual event as a result of the pandemic. Corals of varying shapes and colors attracted enthusiasts of all ages.
