The Importance of Lunch

Many high schools such as Hall give students the opportunity to skip lunch, and in turn take another elective. Sadly, this is a route that many students take, which many oppose.  You might ask “what is so important about lunch?”. Lunch gives one time to relax from all difficult classes, make new friends, eat, and release some stress. It gives you an opportunity to get extra work done, or more commonly, get homework done the period before its due! Also during lunch, you can meet with teachers if they have free time, and get extra help. Most importantly, at lunch you can bond with others throughout the day, make friends with people you may never see in a class, and get to know new people. The high school experience isn’t always about AP classes, parties, or football games; it’s also the connections you make with others, the not-so great pasta days, the smiles, and all the  laughs. All of these experiences are best created during lunch. For those thinking of dropping lunch, please reconsider, as lunch can really be one of the most important periods of your day.
