My Favorite Activities to do during Quarantine

When the Coronavirus Pandemic started around the month of March 2020, a lot of people specifically kids and teens had the feelings of confusion, worry, loneliness, and boredom. When lockdown took full effect during this time it forced a lot of people to stay at home to do things and spend a lot of time with family as well. The experiences of hanging out with friends, going out to events and places, and etc. were taken away from us due to the global pandemic. For me personally, I’ve combated the struggles (i.e. loneliness, boredom, and etc.) that a lot of people have dealt with during quarantine by going out for walks, playing video games (when I have the time to or if I need to), and finally watching cartoons or TV shows to keep me entertained and also to forget those negative feelings in me. One of my favorite quarantine activities was going out for walks each and every day. When me and other high school students had to do the distance learning assignments for PE earlier this year by doing mostly outdoor activities, it made me want to do this every day. Since then, whenever I feel busy with schoolwork, stressed out, feeling down with what goes on in the world, and etc. I just go outside for walks to improve my mental health and wellness. In the first picture of me being outside I have a sense of contentment and calmness. Another favorite quarantine activity I liked doing for the past months was playing video games like Mario Kart 7 and Super Smash Bros. on my Nintendo 3DS. Since the month of April or May I started playing a lot of Super Smash Bros. since I had a lot of free time to myself and I was really bored in quarantine. In the second photo you can see me glued to the screen of my 3DS because I developed a huge interest in the game because of quarantine. Since then, I would feel relaxed and have fun because of that. My last favorite activity I liked doing was watching classic cartoons or TV shows. The same thing with going out for walks and playing video games I do that to relax and escape from my day to day life. Regardless of what goes in the world, people can do activities to stay well and to keep calm.
