Abby Rossini, Editor/Writer

Abby Rossini is a 17 year old senior at Hall. She grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut with her mom, dad, older sister, Emily, and dog, Bella. When asked who she is closest with in her family, she responded saying, “My sister. She's one of my best friends. I’m close with her as a sister and like a friend.”

Abby is a B average student who is hoping to go to Penn State to major in either Business or Chinese (Mandarin) in the fall. In the meantime, Abby likes to hang out with friends, go to Moe's, and works as a hostess at Andy’s Italian Kitchen in Farmington, Connecticut. In school, her favorite class is Anatomy and Physiology, but her favorite teacher is the AP Psychology teacher, Dr. Lara White. “I really like her as a person, outside of teaching, but in the classroom she's even better.”

Abby is very excited about heading off to college and to move on with her life and high school. When she graduates, Abby will miss her close friends who are juniors this year, but as she puts it, “Not the food.”  Before Abby checks out of Hall with a diploma, she will make sure to snap a picture for her superlative, ‘Worst Case of Senioritis’ on the way out. When she found out about her accomplishment in December, she wasn’t surprised, but was pleased with the outcome.

Abby’s biggest regret from high school is not taking Chinese freshman year but instead waiting until her sophomore year to join the program. Luckily Abby didn’t miss out on taking Journalism class as she finishes out her last semester at Hall. She hopes that the skills she is learning in the class will be useful when trying to talk about opinions or in an interview situation.
