Abe Ruelas, 18, a senior student athlete at Hall High School, who plans on majoring in International Business, hopes to use his journalism skills for future interviews.
Q: Why are you taking Journalism?
A: “I’m taking Journalism because I want to learn more on how to interview and how to write personal pieces of topics that interest me like sports, current events, or things happening around my community, etc.”
Q: What topics are you interested in discussing for Journalism?
A: “I’m interested in discussing athletics because I have always watched and played multiple sports all my life. As well as, current events happening in the world and things happening around in my community.
Q: What do you hope to accomplish in Journalism?
A: “I hope to accomplish more knowledge on how to write a solid piece of topics I’m interested in and how to interview people or be interviewed. So that later in life I can be prepared when I get a job interview or college interview in the future.”
Q: How does Journalism relate to your career choices?
A: “It can relate to my career choices because I might have to interview people or be interviewed for a job position in my field of study, which I plan on majoring in International Business. Also, in my job I might need to interview future employees or new possible clients, so It could help me when I need to go to an interview with a foreign company to make or sell a service or product.”
