Barrett Kanaga, Editor

Barrett Kanaga is an 18 year old senior at Hall High School, in West Hartford, Connecticut. He grew up in Fairfield, and moved when he was in fifth grade. His love of lacrosse carried over into the West Hartford community, and now he’s an avid lacrosse player for the Hall High Boys Lacrosse Team.

He is lead by his interest in current events, such as politics and government. Barrett is hoping his learned journalism skills will be useful in college, and would like to gain a better understanding of the world through this class.

Barrett plans to go to college after high school, and travel a lot. There’s no doubt in his mind that skills learned from Journalism will help him in his future endeavors.

The lacrosse star is also loyal to the thought that journalism controls the world, “It can make people powerful, or destroy them.” His interest in how much power you can have as a journalist is what drives him, and helps him strive to be a successful journalist.

To Barrett, journalism is how he knows what’s going on in the world, and helps him decide who to support in politics.
