Chloe Nordyke on bridge of Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, ME

Chloe Nordyke, Editor

Highly motivated by her peers, Chloe Nordyke is a 17-year-old student athlete that has lived in West Hartford, Connecticut, since she was born. She loves being outside, spending time with family and friends, and playing sports.

Sports have constantly been a significant part of Chloe’s childhood; gymnastics and ballet marked the beginning, but horseback, field hockey and lacrosse occupies her the most. Although horseback riding is no longer a principal part of her life, Chloe says she “appreciates the lessons and discipline the sport has taught her.” As a senior at Hall High School, Chloe was Captain of the Field Hockey team, which won its second conference title this fall; as well as, Captain of the Lacrosse team this spring. Outside of school, Chloe competes and travels all year round with her club lacrosse team; where she grew as a player and friend to her teammates.

Inside the classroom at Hall, she is rightfully a part of the National Honors Society and says math and science are her “favorite subjects.” Chloe equally enjoys trying new classes like journalism: “Journalism provides a great opportunity to stay updated on current events,” which she plans on taking advantage of. On track to graduate this June, she will be following her academic interests and evident passion for lacrosse, at Ithaca College in the Fall of 2020.
