Diana Taboada, Writer
Diana Taboada is a 17-year-old senior who was born in Lima, Peru. She moved to West Hartford when she was 6 years old for a better education. When she first moved from Peru, she found it simple and easy to learn English since she was still young, but it was hard to adjust to her new environment. It felt like a whole new world to her.
Diana describes herself as a “shy, determined, and resilient person who is also very sweet and approachable.” The main reason that she took the journalism class is because after it was suggested to her, it really caught her eye. She said that “the class seemed interesting and I was willing to give it a try.”
Diana is a very active person: She loves running, hiking, going on adventures, and drawing. She’s a part of the track and field and cross country teams in order to stay fit and pursue running, one of the things that she really enjoys. Once Diana graduates, she plans to travel around the world.
