Jason Chan is a 16-year-old senior, and a brand new journalist to HallRecord. He was born on December 25, 2001 in New York City, and will be 17 when he graduates high school. Prior to becoming a journalist, Jason was a member of the wrestling team, track team, and the volleyball team. Regarding clubs, he has been involved with the Business Club and Chess Club, among others.
When asked why he became a journalist, Jason says "I want to learn to become a journalist. I also didn't want to take a full year of English." He brings his skills and strengths in photography, and great interviewing skills, as well as his seriousness, and an enormous amount of “intensity”. Jason has not worked for a news organization previously, but is interested in news that will have a profound effect on the student body.
Presently, Jason lives with his mother and father. Jason has three older sisters, all in college. After Jason graduates, he said he will “enjoy life.” He has not specified exactly what this might mean, but it could be inferred to be positive, like globetrotting, or experiencing the Seven Wonders of the World.
