Grace Maynard, Editor
Grace Maynard, an eighteen-year-old student at Hall High School, looks forward to the future challenges of Journalism and learning new skills throughout the class.
Q: Who are you?
A: My name is Grace Maynard and I am eighteen years old. I was born in Hartford CT, and have lived in West Hartford for my entire life, except when my family and I moved in with my grandparents in Burlington, CT for two years.
Q: What is your role in the community here at Hall?
A: At Hall, I’d like to say that I play a significant role in the Arts. I have sung in choir throughout my time here at Hall, including being in Voce de Celi and Choraliers. I have also taken acting classes at Hall for four years and was cast as the lead role in “A Wrinkle in Time” my sophomore year.
Q: What do you like to do during your free time?
A: I absolutely love to read. Romance and fiction are my favorite genres. I like re-reading my favorite books, which, is not something many people like to do, but I really enjoy it. I also love spending time with my boyfriend and best friend when I’m not too busy with homework and rehearsal, which, is most of the time.
Q: If you could use one word to describe yourself, what would it be and why?
A: I would probably say tenacious. I just don’t really stop until I get things done. I guess some would replace tenacious with perseverant, but I don’t know, I think tenacious has a better connotation.
