Logan Burke, Editor

Logan a Senior wants to study with a focus on psychology in the future to learn more about herself and others. Her Goal is to go to college and be successful.

What are some of your current hobbies?

I love makeup, I got into it really recently. It's just fun, it makes me feel great and it's fun to do. I love the different colors, but it’s so expensive.

What are your goals for the future?

Go to college, graduate college, and don’t drop out of college. I'm majoring in psychology, only because I'm interested in it, not because I want to be a psychologist.

What inspired you to take journalism?

Out of all the options, journalism seemed to be the most interesting, and I think it’s good to talk about a lot of under the radar topics, since there is a lot of stuff people don't realize is happening in the world.

How have your childhood experiences influenced you as the person you are today?

I am neurodivergent so I grew up being bullied by kids, but I didn't realize it till now. That's why I wanted to major in psychology and why I take AP Psych now because it helps me understand other people as well as myself.

What do you want to take away from this class?

I want to take away anything that is new. A lot of this stuff is just boring and what people want to talk about, like one of the articles was legalizing weed, and that’s cool but like what can I learn from that? Topics like other people's culture, mental health, or other topics I can learn something new.

Is there any advice you would give to the readers?

Every time something bad happens to me, like a breakup, or losing a friend, I always think about the butterfly effect, and how if that bad thing never happened something else good would have never happened. Like If I didn't break up with my boyfriend, I would have never met my best friend whom I really care about. Just always think about how those bad things have to happen even if it hurts right now, but eventually, it will lead to something great, and you will be grateful that happened to you.
