Oliver, a huge sports fan, talks about what he’s excited for in journalism this year.
Q: How would you describe yourself in one word?
A: I would say hardworking would be the word I would describe myself as. I take pride in my work that I do and I think being committed to the work that you’re doing is very important.
Q: Which one of your characteristics best helps you in journalism?
A: I would say curiosity definitely helps, wanting to know more helps in journalism since your reporting about different things and you can still learn a lot about different things regardless of how much you know.
Q: When talking about controversial topics, do your viewpoints match up with the rest of the class most of the time?
A: I would say yes, but everyone, every person has different opinions on different little things, but I would say overall I line up with what I think the class would say about controversial topics.
Q: If you had an entire day to do anything, what would your day look like?
A: I think I would go to Six Flags since I never been to six flags, I’ve always wanted to go Six Flags but have never had the chance to do so.
Q: What do you want to get out of taking this course?
A: I think a better knowledge of what journalism is, how to do journalism and just to see if that’s something I might want to continue in college and maybe beyond those years.
E:What are you most passionate about?
O: I love sports. I eat, drink, and sleep sports.
