Sam, a senior at Hall High school, is an active player on the football team. He also likes journalism and wants to major in sports journalism post-high school.
Q: Where will you be in 10 to 20 years?
A: Hopefully in 10 to 20 years I will have a wife and a family and have a stable job, as well as work at ESPN, Bleacher report, or any other the larger sports journalism companies..
Q: Do you have a favorite reporter?
A: I have two actually, one is Steve Levy; a broadcaster/play-by-play announcer for ESPN. And another is Adrian Wojarnowski, who also works for ESPN and is a breaking news reporter for basketball.
Q: What are a couple messages that have stuck with you in your life?
A: One mistake doesn’t define you, and that there’s always a solution to a problem.
Q: Where do you plan on going to college? Why?
A: I want to go to Arizona State University because it has one of the better sports journalism programs in the nation. Their journalism school also requires you to live on a whole side campus, which I find very cool.
