Sophia Thomas

Sophia, a senior at Hall high school, has always been interested in art but has recently found a liking for pottery and wants to open a pottery business in the future. She wants to become a better writer and work on her writing planning skills as she takes journalism.

Q: What are some of your interests?

A: I really like pottery, it’s really fun and I do like painting and drawing but pottery is fun. It's harder though.

Q: What are some of your future goals?

A: I do want to go to college and have some general degrees but I do want to do pottery lessons, you know, for fun. Starting a business would be cool too, maybe like a pottery business where I can sell my pieces.

Q: How has your background/how you grew up inspired what you want to do in the future?

A: Well, when I was younger I was with my grandma a lot because when my parents were working. She inspired me a lot to go to school and really work hard and get what I want in life.

Q: What do you want to take away from this class?

A: I would like to take away being a better writer and having a more concrete writing plan. My writing is very nonlinear because I start a lot of things and I  just never finish them so, I guess just having something I finish is what I want to get out of the class.
