Ben Gerken, a hockey captain and lacrosse player at Hall High School finds success while battling through school, sports, and being a leader of Blue Reign.

Q:  Why did you decide to take Journalism?

A: I like to write because it is a unique way to output information, and when you start writing, you get to realize who you are as a person. That is why I decided to take this class.

Q: What are you most interested in writing about? 

A: I am interested in writing about the war in Ukraine because it’s a current event going on in the world.

Q: What are your plans after High School?

A: I will be attending college at Penn State.

Q: Are you committed?

A: Yeah 

Q: What would you tell you you’re younger self?

A: You’re going to make it.
