The Environment Matters, So Recycle!
These recycling cans represent the lack of enthusiasm students have for recycling at Hall High School. I chose to take these photos because the lack of recycling shows in the way the garbage is resting on the plastic bag. The garbage is light and has no weight, just sitting on top of mounds of plastic. My eyes are drawn in by the lines on the plastic to the very small pile of recyclables. What makes me uneasy is that these cans should have been full to the rim. My hope is that these cans were recently emptied. Although, it is also very possible that as students, we aren’t that concerned about where our trash goes. Both these photos makes me depressed because it makes me wonder if we have given up in our fight against supporting and saving the environment. I hope I’m wrong, because I care about our planet’s future.
