Illogical COVID Regulations Finally Being Ignored
Strict COVID-19 and measures are being widely ignored at school today. With vaccine rates above 90%, an age group that is largely not affected by the virus, and flawed mask logic, it is hard to blame the students. Whether it is in the cafeteria, halls, or bathroom, regulations and recommendations to slow the spread of germs are not being obeyed by the students. Students gather in a mask-optional environment in the cafeteria to enjoy their food and spend the period socializing with their friends. Only two out of the more than five students seen in the picture are wearing masks, with only one of them wearing it properly. Similarly, signs on the air dryers in the bathrooms that once read “Do Not Use the Air Dryer” have been torn up–symbolizing an end to the dormancy of air dryers. Lastly, a water fountain that once had tape to prevent the use of the fountain has had its tape ripped so that students can drink from it. COVID regulations will continue to be ignored until the school is back to normal.
