Have You Finished Your Work?

It’s 11:58, dread is creeping in your veins because that project is due in one minute, but you’ve only just started. You screwed yourself over by playing that one video game and wasting away time on your devices. As the clock ticks closer to 11:59, the threat of half-credit has become a reality. Then you remember all of the missing work you already have; wonderful. Sometimes it feels like you’re drowning in piles of papers, and you can’t help but just lay down in defeat. What is the point? Procrastination is a damaging thing in the long run; sure, it feels nice to avoid work in the moment, but when your chance to walk across that stage at the end of your senior year is threatened by your grades, that satisfaction is long gone.
