The Hall football team has high hopes after Friday’s 9-7 win over Glastonbury which  put them at 4-0-0. Led by quarterback Burke Martindale, the team is expected to make a run at states for the first time in a while.

When asked about the game Martindale claimed, “We came out strong and didn’t dig ourselves into a hole in the first half like in the Simsbury game. We worked harder than them and got the result.”

He admits that the team already has played the weaker teams in the conference, and the schedule is looking difficult down the road. They are practicing hard in preparation for the Southington game on friday, hoping to shock the CCC-West in an upset victory.

The team is without returning senior Theo Blaschinski, projected to be a top player on both sides of the ball. Blaschinski has been recovering from a foot injury and is hoping to return by Friday’s game against Southington. Senior Trevon Graham and junior Jaden Shaw have done an outstanding job running the ball in Theo’s absence.

Head Coach Frank Robinson says that “the team still has a lot of work to do.” He believes there is a lot of untapped potential, that has yet to be shown. Updates will follow after Friday’s game against Southington.
