Pandemic Problems

These images are supposed to project the reality behind the online school. Although virtual school was very much needed to keep students safe and distanced during this pandemic, at times it was pointless. Students were able to turn their cameras off and do whatever they wanted while class was going on. At times, online school was similar to a day off for some students. Online school had good intentions, but the reality is, students started to show a lack of effort and care when it came to participation and attendance. These images are supposed to display the lack of attention and effort given by students with images of students sleeping and playing video games while online school is going on. Covid 19 has had a massive impact on school since we went fully online last year. Students went from days packed with school work, social gatherings, and in-person learning to completely online schooling which stopped this completely. At this time, many students began to take a “break” from school, showing less care and determination because they felt as if online school wasn’t as important. Over time you could tell that more and more students began to take the easy way out by turning off their cameras and microphones and completely shutting out the class they were in. This made it almost impossible to learn and caused many students to fall behind in their learning. Obviously, it is difficult to learn from your bed and students simply became unmotivated. Furthermore, it is definitely more difficult to learn through a computer screen while you have many distractions at home. The difficulties of learning online caused many students to give up and stop trying completely when it came to school and homework. Students fell behind, stopped trying, and let online school become an excuse to take a break.
