Nature and Nostalgia: Our Last Glimpses of Childhood
A rising senior takes in an emotional view of her hometown from the top of Auer Farm, West Hartford’s local farm.
As seniors, we get ready to leave behind the magic of childhood places. We return to nostalgic places to come back and visit, and get one more taste of childhood as our time here comes to a close. It’s hard to believe we will soon be leaving the places we played as kids where lasting memories were created. Now older, those kids have many fond memories to look back on. From the grand views of Auer Farm, animals we used to feed, and benches we used to picnic on at Westmoor Park, highschool kids try to squeeze in their last few visits before leaving town to start their lives as young adults.
